Stay safe from fraud
Effective date: October 2026.
SwiftRun is built on trust between senders and runners. Almost every delivery goes perfectly, but scammers target delivery services everywhere, including in Botswana. This page tells you how SwiftRun really works, what we will never ask you for, and what to do if something feels wrong.
How SwiftRun really works
Knowing the real process is your best protection. Here is the truth:
- You pay the runner when your parcel is delivered, in cash or by Orange Money, directly to the runner. Not before.
- SwiftRun never holds your money. There is no SwiftRun wallet, no holding account, and no release fee.
- The 15% SwiftRun service fee is added on top of the delivery fee and paid by the sender, in the same single payment to the runner on delivery. The runner sends the collected service fees to SwiftRun every Friday. You never pay it separately to anyone.
- Every parcel that passes through our office gets a tracking code. You can follow it any time at swiftrun.online/track or by scanning the QR code on the parcel label.
SwiftRun will NEVER
- Ask you to pay money to release, unlock, or free a parcel. There is no such fee. Ever.
- Ask for your password or your email verification code. Our team never needs these.
- Ask you to send money to a personal mobile number for “SwiftRun fees”. All payment happens between you and your runner, on delivery.
- Ask you to pay before your parcel is delivered.
- Contact you from unofficial pages or numbers asking for payment. Our only channels are listed below.
If anyone asks you for any of the above in SwiftRun’s name, it is a scam. Stop there.
How to check a runner is real
- Book only inside the SwiftRun app. Never arrange a “SwiftRun delivery” over WhatsApp or Facebook with someone you found outside the app.
- Check the runner’s profile in the app: photo, name, and verified badge. The person at your door must match the profile.
- Every runner is verified with an Omang and a selfie before they can take jobs.
How to check a parcel is real
- Scan the QR code on the parcel label with your phone camera, or enter the tracking code at swiftrun.online/track.
- If the code does not exist on our tracking page, the parcel is not in our system. Do not pay anyone for it.
- A real SwiftRun label always points to swiftrun.online. Check the web address after scanning. If it goes anywhere else, it is fake.
Our official channels only
SwiftRun speaks to you only through:
- Website: swiftrun.online
- Email: [email protected]
- Call or WhatsApp: 72173308
Anyone contacting you as “SwiftRun” from any other website, email, or number is not us.
Think a message is fake?
- Stop. Do not pay anything and do not share passwords, codes, or ID photos.
- Tell us. Forward a screenshot to [email protected] or WhatsApp 72173308 so we can warn others and shut the scammer’s account down.
- If you already lost money, report it to the Botswana Police as well. Keep every message, number, and receipt. We will give you any records we hold that help your case.
There is no shame in being targeted. Scammers are professionals at sounding convincing. The safest move is always to pause and check with us first.
