SwiftRun Terms of Service
Effective date: October 2026.
SwiftRun (“we”, “our”) is a courier and delivery marketplace operated by Alistos Global Pty Ltd in Botswana. These terms govern your use of the SwiftRun app and website. By creating an account or placing a booking, you agree to them. Contact: [email protected].
What SwiftRun is
SwiftRun connects senders who need parcels moved with independent runners who deliver them. Runners are independent contractors, not employees of SwiftRun. SwiftRun provides the marketplace, the booking tools, live tracking, and the trust framework. It does not itself carry parcels.
Accounts
- You must provide your real name and a valid phone number. One account per person.
- You verify your account with a one-time code sent to your email, and you complete identity verification (Omang and selfie, reviewed manually by our team) before you can book or accept deliveries.
- You are responsible for keeping your password private. Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.
- You must be at least 18 years old to hold a runner account.
How payment works (sender pays)
- Only the sender pays. SwiftRun holds no customer money at any point.
- On delivery, the sender pays the runner one payment: the delivery fee plus a 15% SwiftRun service fee, added on top. For example, a P40 delivery costs the sender P46 in total.
- The delivery fee is paid to the runner in full. The 15% service fee belongs to SwiftRun.
- Every Friday, the runner remits the week’s collected 15% service fees to SwiftRun by Orange Money, confirming “I have paid” with the transaction reference in the app. The runner’s verified identity stands behind this remittance.
- Payment between sender and runner is by cash or Orange Money, as they agree at booking.
Runner obligations
- Your car or motorbike must have valid, up-to-date insurance to take part in SwiftRun.
- Arrive at pickup within the agreed window. The sender is allowed a 10-minute waiting grace period.
- Deliver to the stated drop-off address and complete the handover with the 4-digit delivery code.
- Treat parcels with care and communicate honestly through the app if anything goes wrong.
Sender obligations
- Describe your parcel honestly: contents, size, weight, and any handling needs.
- Be available at pickup and make sure someone is available to receive at drop-off.
- Do not book prohibited items: illegal goods, weapons, hazardous materials, cash above everyday amounts, or anything whose transport would break the law.
Returns and undelivered parcels
- If a parcel cannot be delivered, the sender pays for the return trip, unless the failure was SwiftRun’s or the runner’s fault.
- Unclaimed parcels are held securely for 7 days, then handled according to our returns process. See our Returns Policy.
Complaints
We acknowledge complaints within 1 working day and resolve them within 3 working days. See our Complaints Process.
Liability
- SwiftRun’s liability for any single delivery is limited to the delivery fee paid for that delivery.
- We are not liable for delays caused by events outside our control, including weather, road closures, or network outages.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.
Ending your account
You may delete your account at any time from the app (Profile, then “Delete my account”). We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, submit false identity documents, or misuse the marketplace. Runners with outstanding service-fee remittances must settle them before closure.
Changes
If these terms change, we will post the new version here and update the effective date. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Botswana.
